Katherine (Kate) Oelkers is a third-year student at UC Santa Barbara, majoring in Statistics and
Data Science. She’s passionate about mathematics and data analytics and aspires to work in
data science in the future. She’s a member of the UCSB Data Science Club and helps support
diverse STEM students as a peer mentor.
