Heather McMahon

Heather McMahon is a senior executive leader, retired US Army Intelligence officer, board advisor, and Executive Consultant.  Heather has extensive experience in complex international investigations, military operations during peacetime and conflicts, crisis management, counterintelligence, security, insider risk, critical technology protection and government relations. Today, Heather utilizes her experience and expertise to advise corporations on how to manage risk and defend against state-sponsored cyberattacks, insider threats, and intellectual property theft. Previously, Heather served in the White House as Senior Director on the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board (PIAB), where she advised the Executive Office of the President and National Security Council on national security, counterintelligence, risk management, industrial security, and insider threat matters. Prior to the White House, she served as a senior defense intelligence executive for the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence and the Department of the Army’s Intelligence Staff where she devised, implemented, and led counterintelligence and industrial security programs to protect DoD technology, information, personnel, facilities, and critical infrastructure from internal and external threats. Between periods of federal service, Heather served as a business development executive for a cybersecurity company.
